A Day with the Lord
2PE 3:8
But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day
is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand
years as one day.
HOS 6:1
Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and
he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
2 After two days will he revive us: in the third day
he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
-
JOB 5:17
Behold, happy is the man whom God correcteth: therefore
despise not thou the chastening of the Almighty: 18 For he
maketh sore, and bindeth up: he woundeth, and his hands make
whole. 19 He shall deliver thee in six troubles:
yea, in seven there shall no evil touch thee. 20 In
famine he shall redeem thee from death: and in war from the
power of the sword. 21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge
of the tongue: neither shalt thou be afraid of destruction
when it cometh.
-
EXO 15:26
And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the
LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight,
and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his
statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I
have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that
healeth thee.
-
ISA 30:26
Moreover the light of the moon shall be as the light of the
sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light
of seven days, in the day that the LORD bindeth up the
breach of his people, and healeth the stroke of
their wound.
-
JER 30:17
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal
thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called
thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh
after.
-
EZE 34:16
I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which
was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken,
and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy
the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment.
HOS 6:3
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his
going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto
us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
-
MAT 13:11
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto
you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven,
but to them it is not given.
-
ACT
28:26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye
shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see,
and not perceive: 27 For the heart of this people is waxed
gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and
their eyes have they closed; lest they should see with
their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with
their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal
them.
-
3JO 1:2
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and
be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
LUK 13:32
And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold, I
cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow, and the
third day I shall be perfected. 33 Nevertheless I must
walk to day, and to morrow, and the day
following: for it cannot be that a prophet perish out of
Jerusalem.
- HEB 2:10
For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are
all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make
the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11
For both he that sanctifieth and they who are
sanctified are all of one: for which cause
he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
A penny equaled a days
wage at the time of Christ; “a day is as a thousand years” so
what we have here is a picture of how the Lord will take care of
those who work in his vineyard. It doesn’t matter when we start
what does matter is that we do. When the third day gets here
“the millennial reign of Chris” those who have worked in His
vineyard will be well taken care of.
Mat 20:1 For the kingdom of
heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which went
out early in the morning to hire labourers into his vineyard.
2 And when he had agreed
with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into
his vineyard.
Mat 20:13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do
thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny?
14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this
last, even as unto thee. 15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I
will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? 16 So
the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be
called, but few chosen.
